Tricking Yourself Into Being More Productive - 4 Helpful Tips

The truth is, we all have the same 24 hours in a day. The only difference is what we do with that time. If you want to be productive, there are a few tricks you can use to trick yourself into doing more than you think is possible.

1. Make a list of everything you need to do for the day and prioritize it by importance. This will help you focus on the most important things first, so that you can get them done quickly and then move on to less urgent tasks.

2. Set timers for each task and stick to them! This keeps you from getting distracted by other things that come up during your workday, which can take away from your productivity—or even make it impossible for you to finish what you’ve already started!

3. Take breaks when necessary! It’s easy to get lost in our work and forget about everything else going on around us—but it’s important not to burn out! A short break every hour or two will help keep your mind clear while still allowing enough time for important tasks at hand!

4. Reward yourself after finishing an important task! Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply crossing an item off your to-do list, it’s important to give yourself a pat on the back! This will help keep you motivated and also let you know that what you’re doing is working.

Being productive is really all about figuring out what works for you, and then making time for it in your daily routine. You have to put the things that are important first. Sure, sometimes you just have to buckle down and get the job done (actually getting yourself to do this is the trick), but often enough you'll find that deadlines aren't as hard or as stressful as they seem when you break them down into smaller, more manageable chunks of time. And don't forget!

You're working on a deadline because someone needs whatever it is that you're working on. So before you feel like you can't keep going, remind yourself why it's so important to finish in the first place, and that's usually enough to get me out of any lulls I experience. I hope this helps. Have a productive day!
